Hey, I'm Ella! I'm currently in my third year of a Bachelor of Communications (Advertising) at RMIT, with plans to graduate in 2025. I’m focusing on strategy, driven by a passion for human connection, problem-solving, and creativity. My immediate goal is to complete my Capstone Subject and secure a part-time entry-level role in November. By February 2026, I aspire to become a strategist for a company in the education, wellness, or health sector, such as GSV, Swisse, Nivea, or Libra.
Initially, I dreamed of becoming an Art Director, however, through my experience, the demanding nature of this role left me burnt out, hindering my ability to pursue artistry. Fortunately, I have since planned a way to balance my creative pursuits with my professional aspirations.
One of my current projects involves developing a strategy and proposal for the Clean Air Fund within the funeral services industry. This project is a significant step in my career, as it allows me to apply my strategic knowledge in a real-world context, focusing on empathy and consumer insights while addressing both social and environmental issues. It also represents a chance to balance my art with my professional goals, showcasing my skills in a way that complements my passion for human connection and ethical practices.
My biggest inspiration is my grandma, who adopted four children and cared deeply for her family, including me. Her legacy of love and connection deeply influences my approach to both personal and professional relationships. My father, an environmental advocate, has also inspired me to consider sustainable practices, particularly in the context of my current project.
Outside of my studies and work, I’m an avid artist, spending my free time painting, sewing, and exploring interior design at Ikea in comfy attire. My journey with Photoshop began in year 6 with a KitKat x Kim Kardashian project, sparking a love for design that has evolved into a professional skill set including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere Pro.
I look forward to combining my strategic expertise with my artistic vision to make meaningful contributions to the industry and, eventually, to showcase my art in exhibitions and galleries.
